One of the first pillars of working with SPs is creating a safe environment.
A place to make mistakes. A place to try something new. A collaborative space to work on communication skills. An opportunity to test skills without long last repercussions.
Experiential learning builds better clinicians.
SP vs. Peer-to-Peer Roleplay
August 12, 2022
Implementing new communication and interviewing skills through role-play is a very beneficial practice.
When you are faced with the question of using peer role-play or incorporating SPs, what are the pros and cons?
We know that with any simulation, there is an element of "suspending our disbelief". While it may be "easier" to role-play amongst peers or with a faculty member, it is more difficult to buy-in. Working with SPs is a more realistic experience, offering participants a natural and authentic conversation.
Additionally, our SPs are thoroughly trained to debrief and provide conversational feedback after the role-play. They provide insight to nuances of the conversation that go undetected by faculty and classmates.
Human Simulation Online

You won't get more high-fidelity than Human.
The onset of the pandemic forced virtual simulation solutions to market and sent a shockwave through the curriculums of nursing schools, medical colleges, and continued education of all health professionals.
But they are all missing one thing...
We are on a mission to reconnect the human experience and make SP based education accessible to everyone, everywhere.
Explore your options and book a demo to see how it all works.

How It Works
July 06, 2022
We take care of your course the way you take care of your patients.
As a 1-to-1 doctor-patient online solution to clinical simulation, we believe in human connection and communication.
Passionate about what we do
July 01, 2022
Since we are meeting so many new faces, we thought it would be a great time to tell you more about ourselves and why we are so passionate about what we do!
👩🏿⚕️ SP-ed is short for Standardized Patient Education; we believe that working with Standardized Patients is a critical and meaningful component of medical and nursing education.
🧑🏾⚕️ We believe that remote learning is not a band-aid to get us through a pandemic, but will be ever-present in our future, not only as a necessity but as a lucrative asset for universities and teaching institutions, no longer restricted by geographical location and travel.
👨🏽⚕️HUMAN CONNECTION. Living in a high-tech world shouldn't mean that we lose one of the most integral components of becoming outstanding healthcare providers.
👨🏽⚕️We believe that connecting through communication triggers layers of the learning process that are otherwise not challenged.
👩🏼⚕️ We provide Virtual Standardized Patient Encounters. We customize simulation scenarios to your specific teaching objectives. Our platform and team will run and manage all SP scenarios for you!

Feedback should be centered around human connection.
As patients, we expect our providers to show us empathy. Communication Feedback after simulation with a standardized patient is a time for the SP to model those empathy skills. It gives the learner an opportunity to feel seen and heard.
We include verbal feedback in our virtual SP sessions whenever possible! It's a great opportunity to connect and highlight learning points!
